AI Voice Receptionist Options in Florida (2026)
Compare AI voice receptionist options for Florida businesses by type, with each vendor's published pricing as checked on October 15, 2026.
Which AI voice receptionist is best for a Florida business?
There is no single best AI voice receptionist. The right choice depends on whether you want a managed service, a no-code platform, a developer platform or a custom build. This guide compares eight options grouped by type, using the pricing each vendor publishes, checked October 15, 2026. Cuanto Labs publishes this page and is one of the eight.

Details on each option
Smith.ai (managed service)
Smith.ai sells live receptionists and an AI receptionist. Human-first plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, with overage of $11.50 per call on Starter, $10.50 on Basic and $8.50 on Pro. AI-first calls cost $3.00 each after the 25 on Free, $2.00 each on Pro and $1.67 each on Enterprise. Bilingual agents are offered. The pricing pages we opened did not mention HIPAA, so ask the vendor directly.
Ruby (managed service)
Ruby provides live virtual receptionists with AI-assisted transcripts and call flows. Bundled plans add up to 10 chats for $115 or up to 30 chats for $268 to a receptionist plan. Its pricing page states "HIPAA-compliant services available."
Synthflow (no-code and low-code platform)
The pricing page we opened lists Enterprise only. Final pricing is scoped by call volume, concurrency, telephony, integrations and security. The page mentions MSA and DPA support and enterprise security review. It did not state HIPAA or BAA terms.
Goodcall (no-code AI phone agent)
Starter includes 100 unique customers, then 79 cents each. Growth includes 500, then 26 cents each. Scale includes 2,000, then 15 cents each. There are no per-minute charges, a free demo agent is offered, and the caller is told it is an AI. Goodcall's FAQ says a BAA is signed "on the Scale plan ($299 a month) and on Enterprise."
Retell AI (developer platform)
Retell lists 20 free concurrent calls and chat agents at "$0.002+/ msg." Its pricing page shows HIPAA / BAA and Custom BAA in its compliance rows. A Retell blog post dated August 11, 2026 says "HIPAA is available on Retell's pay-as-you-go plan" with a self-serve BAA, and describes PII redaction as an add-on.
Vapi (developer platform)
Vapi states its provider costs come "with no markup." Its sample estimate for 1,000 minutes is $82 to $129 per month. The pricing page lists a "HIPAA compliance" add-on at $2,000 per month, described as "HIPAA eligible data handling. Standard Data Processing Agreement and Business Associate Agreement."
Dialpad AI Agents (business phone system)
Dialpad uses conversation-based pricing: you buy a pool of AI Agent Credits, and a conversation is billable only when the AI retrieves information or executes an action. Its help center says company admins on paid Dialpad accounts can sign a BAA. That article covers Dialpad accounts and does not separately address the AI Agent product.
Cuanto Labs (custom build)
The pricing page lists AI Agents & Automations from $5,000 with a 2 to 6 week timeline, and says every price becomes a fixed number in a written proposal before work starts. The page describes an AI agent implementation connected to CRM or workflow automation and trained on your data and process.
How to choose
- • A person should pick up. Look at the managed services. They bill per call or per minute and can put a human on the line.
- • A flat monthly plan and a quick start. Look at no-code plans, where the monthly price is the main cost.
- • You have a developer. Developer platforms bill by usage, and you build, test and maintain the agent yourself.
- • Calls belong in a bigger phone system. Ask the phone-system vendor for a quote, because the price is not public.
- • The agent must work with your own CRM, calendar or rules. A custom build is a project with a fixed price and a longer start.
How do I compare per-call, per-minute and monthly prices?
Convert each quote to your own volume. Count your monthly calls and average call length, then price each option at that volume, including overage, free tiers and add-ons. Per-call, per-minute and per-customer plans can rank differently at five calls a day than at fifty, so a single headline number rarely decides it.
What should a medical practice ask about HIPAA?
Ask the vendor to state in writing whether it signs a BAA, which plan includes it and whether it covers the AI product itself. Vendors describe this differently on their own sites, as the notes above show. Any practice handling patient information should obtain a signed BAA and have counsel review it, whichever vendor it picks.
Which options need a developer?
Retell AI and Vapi are developer platforms: you build, test and maintain the agent yourself, with usage-based billing. Synthflow and Dialpad are sales-led on the pages checked. A custom build from Cuanto Labs is done by the studio, starting with a call. For the rest, check each vendor's setup process.
What should I ask any vendor before signing?
Ask what counts as a billable call, minute or conversation, and what happens above the plan limit. Ask who owns the phone number and recordings, how transfers to a person work and which languages are supported. Test with real calls before you commit.
Frequently asked questions
Are these prices final?
No. They are what each vendor published on October 15, 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the vendor page before you quote or budget.
Can any of these answer in Spanish?
Smith.ai and Ruby both describe bilingual coverage on their sites. For platforms, check the supported languages for the voice and model you choose, and test with real callers.
Why is Cuanto Labs on this list?
Cuanto Labs builds custom AI voice agents in South Florida and is the publisher of this page. The options are grouped by type, and the order does not rank them.
