Working with Cuanto Labs: questions to ask before you hire us

By , Founder

Published · Updated

These are the questions buyers ask before they hire a development studio, with the answers we give. Where an answer describes how an engagement works, it restates our Terms of Service, and your Statement of Work controls if the two differ.

Is Cuanto Labs a registered company?

Yes. Cuanto Labs LLC is a Florida limited liability company, formed on January 6, 2026 and led by its founder, Eliran Yihye. Our mailing address is 1314 E Las Olas Blvd, Unit #2570, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. We work remotely and meet clients at their offices, so the address is for mail, not visits.

How long have you been building software?

Since 2019. Cuanto Labs has been building software since 2019, first under the name Cuanto Technologies, and was formed as Cuanto Labs LLC in Florida in January 2026. The 2019 date is when Eliran started building software; the company itself, Cuanto Labs LLC, dates from January 6, 2026.

Who writes the code?

Eliran Yihye leads scoping and architecture on every project and stays your point of contact through delivery. The work is backed by a vetted senior network. Under our Terms, subcontractors are bound by confidentiality and intellectual property terms at least as protective, and Cuanto Labs remains responsible for their work. A person on our team reviews anything AI-assisted tools produce.

Who owns the code?

You do, once you have paid in full. When we have received full payment under your Statement of Work, we assign you our rights in the custom source code, designs and documentation made specifically for you. Our pre-existing tools and components are licensed to you, open-source parts stay under their own licenses, and you keep ownership of your own materials.

When do I get the source code and repository?

Ownership and the source code transfer to you once the fees due under your Statement of Work are paid. Until then, you test each delivered milestone as working software during its acceptance window, and our Terms allow you to use deliverables to review and test them. Source code inspection comes after payment.

How do payments and deposits work?

Fees are set in your Statement of Work, in US dollars. Many engagements need a deposit before work begins; it is non-refundable once work has started, unless your Statement of Work says otherwise or we end the engagement without cause. Milestones are invoiced as they are reached, due within 14 days of the invoice date. Payment runs through Stripe, by bank transfer (ACH) or card. Refunds follow your Statement of Work or the law.

What happens when you deliver a milestone?

You have 10 business days to test it and tell us in writing about any material way it does not match your Statement of Work. We fix confirmed nonconformities and redeliver. A deliverable counts as accepted when you approve it, use it in production, or the window ends without a written notice. For 30 days after acceptance, each custom deliverable will materially conform to its Statement of Work.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Under our Terms, each side uses the other's confidential information only for the engagement, protects it with at least reasonable care, and shares it only with people who need it and are bound by similar obligations. We store credentials you give us in an encrypted password manager. Personal data about your customers is processed only on your instructions, and we sign a data processing agreement on request.

What have you built?

Our portfolio lists the products we have built, and every one links to a live site you can open. Some run on our forks of open-source software, for example OnyxMetric on Rybbit and MeetSynq on Cal.com. Each case study says so in an attribution note and states what our own work is, so you can see where our contribution starts.
